Las Piñas bags Most Citizen Friendly Police Station, Most Supportive Barangay

The Las Piñas City Police Station has been adjudged by the National Police Commission-National Capital Region as the “Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station” for the year 2006 besting two other cities in the Metropolis.
Also, Pamplona Dos in Las Piñas City was cited as the “most supportive barangay” for the same year besting three other barangays in Metro Manila.
The results of the search was conveyed to Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar through P/Supt. Demetrio M. Pagaduan, Chief district PCRD, by Atty. Verulo C. Mapanao, Regional Director, after the evaluation and validation conducted by the Napolcom –NCR Evaluation team.
The winners for the Search for the Most Citizen Friendly police Station and Search for the Most Supportive Barangay will be honored during the celebration of the 12th Police Community Relations Month.
Las Piñas City Police Station received and overall evaluation ratings of 93.29. Other winners for the Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station were: Makati City Police Station ranked second with overall evaluation ratings of 87.30 followed by Muntinlupa City Police Station, 3rd garnering 78.64 ratings.
Barangay Pamplona Dos received an overall ratings of 93.29; followed by Barangay Bel-Air Makati City, 2nd with 79.96; Barangay Ayala-Alabang, Muntinlupa City, 3rd with 72.63 and Barangays 183, of Pasay City, 4th place with overall ratings of 57.31
Aguilar lauded the city’s police station chief P/Supt. Joseph Angan and his men for the award citing that this will translate to their being responsive to the needs of their constituents, ensure the safety of the residents and maintain the peace and order in the community.
Aguilar urged the public to report any anomalous transaction or illegal activities involving men in uniform to weed out some scalawags among the ranks. (end)
