Another High School building to rise in Las Piñas
May 5, 2007
LAS PIÑAS CITY, M.M. – Reelectionist Mayor Vergel “Nene” Aguilar assured the residents of barangay CAA-BF Int’l, the largest barangay in the city, of continuous educational assistance to their children, with the construction of a three-storey high school building in the area. The move is aimed to accommodate more students and provide them the necessary secondary education level for free.
Aguilar said the construction of three-story 12 classroom school building for high school students is in addition to the nearby Las Piñas National High School CAA-Annex along F. Aguilar Ave., and three other high schools in the city.
The construction of a three-story 12 classroom school building for high school in Brgy. CAA – BF Int’l will complement with the presence of an elementary school in the area, Aguilar said. This will translate to less expenses to parents and parents will be nearer to monitor their children.
Aguilar, running unopposed, said the additional building is among the flagship infrastructure projects for 2007 in compliance with the city government’s commitment of continued progress and unhampered delivery of basic services.
“I will not allow the momentum of growth and progress in Las Piñas be obstructed for any reason,” Aguilar said.
He also cited the giant leap in business, social progress and environmental care as proofs of the city’s development over the years.
These are being enjoyed via renovated health and day care centers to service more residents and their children, expansion on the coverage of free hospitalization program to all indigent and minimum wage earners, construction of multi purpose centers for skills training and acquisition of additional garbage compactor trucks.
The city has now a total of 29 modern health and dental centers, free City College, manpower Training centers, 70 daycare centers, a modern Maternity Center, and an expanded P25,000 free hospitalization program.
Aguilar also pledged to pursue the development of depressed areas in the city into a first class community with the necessary amenities through the Community Mortgage Program.
